Below are the details of the event:

Food Distribution is a great opportunity for volunteer groups or individual volunteers to make a difference in the lives of many of our food insecure neighbors! 

At our twice monthly food distribution event, we provide about 250 families with large amounts of groceries that we receive from Crossroads Community Services which is a hub for the North Texas Food Bank. Volunteers help bag, sort, and load groceries into vehicles.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with setting up tables and work areas

• Help sort, pack, and distribute groceries

• Help load groceries into families’ cars

• Clean up the site at the end of the event

Know Before You Go:

• Volunteers must be at least 12 years old with a parent or guardian present and 15 years old volunteering by themselves.

• You will be working outside in our garage so please dress accordingly and comfortably!

• We will have snacks and beverages available!

• Please park at 1835 Young Street (First Presbyterian Church) in the parking garage. Please park in the lowest level of the garage that is immediately on the right when you pull into the garage. VOLUNTEERS DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING, so please be sure to ask your volunteer coordinator to ensure that your parking is validated!

• Directly across the street from where you parked is The Stewpot. Please cross the street and ring the doorbell of our front door located at 1822 Young.
