Financial Literacy Workshop: A Two-Part Experience
DOPE's most requested workshop doesn't stop at the lesson — it brings the lesson to life.
Part 1: The Workshop (90 minutes)
An interactive, high-energy session covering budgeting, credit, saving, and spending decisions — built for how teens actually think about money. No lectures. Real scenarios, real conversations, real confidence built in the room.
Part 2: Living a DOPE Life — Financial Literacy Edition (90 minutes)
Here's where it gets DOPE. Teens take what they just learned and play it out — literally. This is a board game created by DOPE, where students navigate real-world money decisions: budgeting paychecks, handling surprise expenses, choosing between spending and saving, and living with the consequences of their choices — all in a game built specifically to reinforce Part 1.
Tested with over 200 teens, Living a DOPE Life turns financial literacy from a lesson into an experience students remember.
Why two parts? Because hearing it isn't the same as doing it. Part 1 builds the knowledge. Part 2 makes it stick.
Why DOPE? (Impact that sticks)
In just a few days, our workshops spark lasting transformation. Teens step in curious and sometimes unsure — they leave inspired, confident, and ready to see learning in a new light. Our model makes education feel alive through hands‑on projects, real‑world challenges, and a supportive environment that makes students want to learn.
