Living a DOPE Life: Bills, Thrills & Real Life
Can you afford the life you want? Join DOPE for three days of money decisions, real-life surprises, and a team presentation challenge—with a prize on the line!
Event description
You’ve got a paycheck. You’ve got choices. Can you make life work?
Bills, Thrills & Real Life is a hands-on workshop where teens explore financial literacy, emotions, and the everyday pressures that influence spending.
Working in individually, participants will build a fictional young adult’s life—from housing and transportation to groceries, entertainment, and savings. Then come the surprises: unexpected bills, a smaller paycheck, and social situations that put their money decisions to the test.
On the final day, teams will present their plans using PowerPoint or Google Slides and explain their choices to judges. The team with the strongest overall financial decisions and presentation wins a prize!
